Saturday and Sunday

Drove to Kristiansand on the southern coast from Langhus on Saturday morning. Ferry ride from Moss to Horton and then drove E18 to Kristiansand. Rained hard most of the way. But sun came out at Kristiansand. Probably got as warm as 68! Beautiful city on the coast. Norwegians come here to get sun. Also has 4 palm trees! Mickey and I walked around until about 11 exploring the beautiful city.

On Sunday drove to Stavanger, but took the scenic route over one lane roads over rocky mountains along the coast (Flekkefjord to Egersand). Several beautiful and unique beach towns along the way. Good weather all day. Arrived in beautiful Stavanger on the Western coast. Stavanger is the oil center of Norway. Just as we walked to dinner, it started to pour rain. Still raining and about 50. Hopefully better tomorrow as we go to hike to the Preikestolen (pulpit rock).

Hi, Ken, Mick & Mom,

Good job on the blog! It's great to be able to read about each day's adventures, and see some instant pics. Glad you've had some good weather - hope that continues! I miss you! It's weird not to be able to call you up any time.

Lots of love,
Connie
